Responsibilities
• Providing technical leadership and direction on the use of Unix technologies. • Responsible for the production of Linux products roadmaps and ensuring that solution designs adhere to the architectural standards defined. • Responsible for managing the relationships with various vendors including RedHat and ensuring that new technologies and features are fully reviewed and the relevant roadmaps updated accordingly. • Stakeholder management skills at leadership level. • Good understanding of software best practices, including design principles & patterns, security and performance. • Experience of working in a technology-based role and interfacing to a varied number of internal and external stakeholders • Define high level solution designs in documents using diagrams such as conceptual, logical and physical architecture • Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods • Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure • Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions • Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals • Collaborate with the Project Managers, Business Analysts & Product stakeholders to understand and challenge requirements • Produce Design documentation to a high standard that clearly articulates solutions accurately.
Required Education
Degree in Computer Science
Skills
• Extensive knowledge and experience In ITEC compliance and knowledge of Security framework. • Reasonable knowledge of Group platforms including, UNIX, Windows, Linux, and Oracle. • Proven systematic and analytical approach to problem solving with the ability to resolve specific security issues or events. • Strong knowledge of RHEL/Solaris/AIX • Strong Knowledge of Redhat Satellite Servers/HPSA/InfoScale/AWS/Chef • Must have platform design experience on Linux/AIX/InfoScale/Chef • Hands on experience on HP/Oracle/IBM/Lenovo Hardwares • Strong Scripting experience on Bash,Python,Perl • Experience on datacentre migrations • Proven experience as a Technical Architect • Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices • Strong problem solving skills around complex technical problems • Strong software development and application architecture experience, with good knowledge of open source technologies, testing and at least one programming language • Experienced in the use and deployment of Middleware Managed File Transfer technologies, specifically Connect: Direct, Sterling Integrator, FileAgent and SFTP infrastructure • Hands-on experience in Mainframe (IMS, CICS, DB2), Tandem and Windows operating systems
